Matt has over 25 years’ experience in market research including nearly a decade as Group Marketing Services Manager at News Ltd. Matt was General Manager of Quadrant Research before establishing Ingenuity Research. His vast experience in consumer and media research brings him into great demand with many blue chip Australian organisations.
Matt’s specialties include social and media research, as well as health, safety and employee research. His Masters thesis was in Political Opinion Polling.
Matt Balogh is a member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society NSW Division Executive Committee and the Best Practice trainer for AMSRS in NSW. In September 2006, Matt Balogh won the Tony Wheeler Best Paper Award at the Australian Market and Social Research Conference.

Angela has more than two decades’ research experience which covers qualitative design, group and individual interviewing, online surveys, questionnaire design, quantitative analysis, interpretation and report writing. Angela specialises in advertising evaluation and tracking studies and projects for government, institutions and not for profit clients. She has presented at several international and national marketing and market research conferences, including ESOMAR and the ARF. Angela is a qualified moderator and has conducted focus groups on a wide range of topics.
Angela joined McNair Ingenuity Research in 2005. Prior to this she spent two years with Roy Morgan International where she was responsible for co-ordinating advertising products globally and overseeing all client relations with advertising agencies and magazine publishers. Previously Angela was General Manager – Publishing at Pacific Publications, the magazine division of the Seven Network and at ACP where she was responsible for the strategic direction and operational activity for all media products.

Christian manages our international partner’s local research projects and our radio audience research and advertising effectiveness research. Christian also has a leading involvement with longitudinal projects, in some cases over a period of ten years, and provides skills that ensure the data maintains integrity while adapting to changing populations and technological innovations. Christian is a results orientated market researcher with experience conducting, analysing and interpreting data. Christian examples forward thinking and proactive assessment of processes in his endeavour to provide more efficient and effective research practices.
Christian joined McNair Ingenuity Research in 2003 on an International graduate work experience program and gives a strong analytical force to our consulting team. Christian began his career in Germany and has a BA in Business Economics. He recently completed a Master of Marketing and Social Research (MMSR) at the Sydney Business School. Christian is a Full Member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society and is an accredited QMPR.
Ed is one of the most experienced survey analysts in Australia, commencing in the coding and editing area in the late 1980s. He has an enormous amount of experience in data management and importing and exporting data for research companies worldwide.
Ed manages all aspects of survey processing from questionnaire scripting and sample management to data analysis and data export. He handles CATI, CAWI, CAPI modes of data capture and the processing of paper questionnaires. Ed has extensive experience with many software tools including SurveyCraft, SPSS, Q Software, WebsurveyCreator, SurveyToGo, Idsurvey, Dapresy, MediaStar, Easi, Espri and Tabgen.
For McNair, Ed undertakes analysis and interpretation of data, manages the process and analysis of data streams, utilizes mathematical and statistical models to provide casual, predictive or pattern analysis, undertakes data mining, data analytics and data linkages, and reports outcomes of data analysis in a suitable translation to clearly model trends and patterns.
Fiona has 12 years’ experience in market research. As part of the McNair Ingenuity Research management team she contributes to the development and implementation of organisational policies and practices. Fiona’s role as Operations Manager encompasses management of the Interviewing, Coding, Data Processing, IT and Administration teams. Fiona is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) degree.
Fiona has responsibility for overseeing McNair Ingenuity Research’s operations including the planning, direction and co-ordination of the Interviewing department. This includes the management and recruitment of staff which often involves specialist requirements for languages and sensitive issues. Fiona also holds responsibility for quality control procedures, monitoring and evaluating performance and adherence to practices of confidentiality and privacy in line with Australian standards under ISO 20252. Fiona possesses a thorough knowledge of coding principles and conventions and has a working knowledge of Surveycraft, used for collating data and tabulations.

Saskia Kirson originally joined the McNair Ingenuity Team as a Supervisor in 2001 and became National Interviewing Manager overseeing interviewing administration, questionnaire preparation and many other aspects of the operations. Saskia held this position until leaving at the end of 2005. Saskia re-joined McNair in 2009. Saskia is qualified in Graphic Design and Business Marketing, as well as having experience in running educational programmes in schools. Before joining McNair Ingenuity Research, Saskia worked for Quadrant Research as a field supervisor for approximately two years and Field Force as a Market Research Interviewer prior to that.
Saskia supports the Consultants and Managers with financial resourcing and monitors financial performance of projects and issues reports. Saskia implements financial policies and procedures and adheres to accounting systems and strategies to enable an efficient and effective business support process. Her role takes responsibility for the provision and reporting of accurate and timely financial information as well as project based tasks, including project management and liaising with clients.
Scott has worked in market research for over six years and is experienced in the supervision of both face-to-face and CATI projects. Scott manages the coding of surveys as well as booking, monitoring and the supervision of shifts. Scott liaises with consultants regarding the provision of sample, resources and other project requirements.
Prior to joining McNair Ingenuity Research, Scott managed his own successful wine consultation business for 10 years, supplying rare and unique wines to most of Sydney’s best restaurants. Additionally, he has extensive knowledge of Project Management from his time spent as National Projects Manager for a medium sized freight and courier company.

Tina has more than five year’s research experience at McNair in an interviewing and supervisory capacity. Tina is an experienced interviewer and has conducted CATI and face-to-face interviewing, in both English and Arabic. Tina is responsible for the monitoring and supervision of shifts, particularly managing those projects conducted in language, and conducts the in-house translation and proof-reading for Arabic questionnaires. Tina is also involved in training and briefing of Indigenous interviewers in remote communities, takes responsibility for the management of the McNair ‘Do Not Call’ register and proof-reading of statistical and written reports.
Tina is a member of AMSRS and is currently building her research knowledge through the participation in AMSRS courses on quantitative and qualitative techniques and applications.
Kym has been in market research for more than fifteen years, coming from a medical document design background, including overseeing a number of programs at the New Children’s Hospital at Westmead. Her outstanding questionnaires make participating in McNair Ingenuity’s surveys fun and easy.
